say a transformer is designed for 33/11kv step down with ratio 0.33 for load 1 mva. if am giving 1..

Answer / ankamsreekar

the current rating on 33kv side with full load is 30.30 in
case of 1ph transformer. if we apply 11kv to 33kv side the
transformer rating will be 333.33 KVA insted of 1MVA.the
voltage will be 3.66kv.

say a transformer is designed for 33/11kv step down with ratio 0.33 for load 1 mva. if am giving 1..

Answer / k.prakashchandra

The iron losses are reduced to nearly 33 %.As the tr
capacity is based on 'cooling vs heat generated',the
capacity can be higher than 333.33 KVA.
