why core losses and copper losses does not depend on power
factor?

Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback

why core losses and copper losses does not depend on power factor?..

Answer / vijay kandpal

Actualy transformer transfer electric power, therefor its
rating is in KVA, and the power factor only due to load
whose rating in KW
So here losses in transformer either by core and copper does
not affect the power factor.

why core losses and copper losses does not depend on power factor?..

Answer / rashmi

copper loss depends on current & core loss depends on
voltage so total loss depends on volt amp product not on the
phase angle between voltage and current i.e independent of
load power factor

why core losses and copper losses does not depend on power factor?..

Answer / tarun aggarwal ymca

Core loss depends upon the voltage applied & ohmic losses depend upon the current flowing & none of these losses depend upon the power factor

actually it is a tricky question we can say that in Loaded transformer when power factor of load changes the current changes in transformer so will the ohmic (cu) loses and lly when current more lag the Voltage the magnetizing and demagnetizing of iron (cause of core lose) is always have effect on it more the current lag more late the flux will reach reach it maximum value in comparison with voltage

this Question require some cool thinking, all things are indirectly

for any other trciky answer just write tarun aggarwal ymca in google and get the ans :)

why core losses and copper losses does not depend on power factor?..

Answer / prabhakar jha

core loss is a variable loss in the core.due to alternating magnetic flux educed in core. copper loss is a constant loss its not depend in load & unload...

why core losses and copper losses does not depend on power factor?..

Answer / ali

core losess are depend on lamination of the core, and
freqency
copper losess are depend on the current flow in the
core, and frequency does not depend on power factor
