Supose we have one 220v A.C fan.if we provide 220v D.C what
will be happen?

In case of 220v A.C. supply, fan (induction motor) will run
since it works only on indution principle and to produce
EMF, "rate of change of flux" should be occurs which is
only possible if A.C. supply (A.C. voltage & current)is
given to the fan..
In case of DC supply, rate of change of flux will be zero,
so EMF produce is zero and there will be no torque & no
motion. on the other hand, fan will heat up & winding may
burn.

In 220 V AC Fan the Single Phase Capacitor Start Capacitor
Run Induction motor is Used & Induction Motor Will Operate
only for AC Source so If we Provide the 220 V DC then The
Fan Will Not Run.

1phase or 3phase any motor operate only in ac.Because AC
supply only can produce RMF.But dc supply can not produce.
when ever to give the DC supply in AC motor the motor will
be heated and finnaly burn due to insulation failure.

IF THIS MOTOR IS A UNIVERSAL MOTOR SO IT CAN WORK BUT THE
DC VOLTAGE LIMIT MUST BE DECREASED TO VALUE THAT WILL
SUPPLY THE POWER RATINGS OF THE AC POWER SUPPLY, IF THE
MOTOR IS INDUCTION MOTOR IT WILL NEVER WORK BECAUSE THE DC
SOURCE WILL NEVER GENERATE A ROTATING FIELD THAT INDUCTION
MOTOR NEEDS TO ROTATE ITS ROTOR

in dc it produce (static magnetic flux) in AC it will
produce RMF without rotatindg flux .
it cannot run it will heated & burned

The magnetic core will get saturated and fan would burn.
Curret i(t)= voltage(t)/ resistace as a generalal case. In
caseof AC it could be considered as V/Z ( where
Z= R+j2 pi f L).In the absence of AC thre will not be
frequency " f". In addition the current would come down
only if the fan rotates. It would not rotate due to split
phase requirement etc and the stater would draw high
current. It is advised to ref some fundemental book and
understand as to how single phase motor converts electrical
energy to mechanical energy.

the Fan will not run, because principle and construction of
DC and AC motors are different from each other, AC motor
can not run on DC supply. and heating will produce in the
winding of the AC motor. if we supply it DC voltage.

FAN WILL NOT WORK . BECAUSE IT NEEDS NEGATIVE HALF CYCLE TO
COMPLETE ROTATION.

basically in induction motor XL is represented XL=2*3.14*f in dc frequency is zero so whole XL term becomes zero due to that
according to ohms law v/XL will becomes infinity so current increase and becomes short circuited

I have 4 busbar of 1000 ampere. we use 4 busbar to make 4000 ampere in one phase.my problem is that when we applied 60% load on that then busbar produced high noise.what is the reason of that and how can i minimize that noise.
