an earth leakage circuit breaker. WOrks the same as a
circuit breaker for over current but takes ensures the
current flow in the circuit Phase to neutral is equal. i.e.
there is no current leaking to earth.
Also known as an RCD - residual current device

ELCB - Earth Leakage Circuit breaker. Its means, whenever,
the Earth leakages( N&E Amps) is higher than the breaker
rated mA, the breaker will trip automatically. Especially,
it will provide for the single phase circuits for more
protection to the human being ans equipment safety.

ELCB-Earth leakage circuit breaker.when there is earth
leakage there is drop current in neutral. elcb will sence
the neutral and trips.

Erth leakage cht breaker
It will have a trip relay in built which make to trip the
elcb in case of any leakage of current from phase and
neutral to the earth....according to rated mamps
capacity....it should trip in less than 400 msec

Answer / pratap.n.a
Elcb means earth leakage circuit breaker which operates when
There is a leakage of current from phase to earth.
Rccb means residual current circuit breaker which operates
When there is a difference in current between any two
Phases. This differential current is called residual current.

Answer / dilip sonawane
its an earth leakage circuit breaker, its has ct inside which ensures that return current by neutral is same as that of phase. if any value changes it get trip/operated.
for human safety we consider- 30ma
for equipment safety -300ma.
so ELCB r designed on above rated sensitivity value

Answer / shaji b
ELCB means earth leakage circuit breaker.
it will break the circuit in case of earth leakage current
exceeds the rated erth leakage current value,
aswell as it will break the circuit when the load current
exceeds the rated value of load current as a mcb.
