MCB is not having the adjustment of protections like Over
Load, Short circuit, Earth fault and Instantaneous current,
but MCCB is having.

mcb is an younger brother of mccb which work with low load
compare with mccb.mccb can use like switch but mcb can not.

MCB(miniature circuit breaker) is low current rating only
MCCB(molded case circuit breaker) high current rating only
applicable.

mcb - basically used for domestic and Industrial
application very near to load end and rating not exceeding
100A and have a short circuit rating upto 18 KA.It uses
thermal trippin mechanism for protecting the load.
on the other end MCCB basically used in industrial
Application is more sensitive than MCB.ITs available from
10A to 2000A and Short circuit ratio from 10 KA to 200KA.IT
have both thermal and magnetic tripping function and
basically more sensitive than MCB.

MCB is the miniature circuit breaker and its use to single
phase its tripped heavy current by short circuit or any
reason. MCCB is the moulded case circuit breaker and used
to three phase its tripped on heavy current flow single
phase or two phase and include three phasein moulded
case.both are safty protection.

MCB is acircuit-breaker which can provide protection only
in the cases of shor-circuit.They can only be operated
manually. MCCB's have provisions for both under/over
voltages, it has provisions for motr mechonism to be fitted
on it, which allows us to operate them electrically. MCCB's
have chnge over(NO & NC)contacts for both SD(faults) and SDE
(electrical faults) which can be utillised for providing
fault indication lamps. MCCB's have higher ratings than
MCB's. MCB's of diffrent types are B-curve(lighting
loads),C-curve(motors),D-curve(capacitive).Both operate in
almost a simillar manner having a fixed & moving contact,
but MCCB's been with more "ACCESSORIES".

Answer / kurinji
MCB is used where ever there is an balanced current flow in
three phase, it will maloperate in unbalanced load condition
But MCCB is used in place of high rating current and also
in place where there is unbalances in current it will
operate correctly in this condition

From what I recall:
-MCB is a main circuit breaker, which can be any type of
circuit breaker
-MCCB is a Metal Clad Circuit Breaker, which is generally
rackable from its slot and typically used for breaking much
larger loads.

what is the general Classification of Generators
I'm generating a pulse of 3V with frequency 80Hz (12.5ms time period) and pulse duration 0.125ms and feeding it to a transformer since i want the pulse to get amplified around 60V. At the output amplification s happening but the pulse is changed to a spike, can you tell me what could be the reason? (an ordinary transformer 220V-12V stepdown transformer is reverse connected ie. now it is 12V-220V stepup and voltage amplification happens)
Why do we mostly prefer to generate and distribute electricity in 3 phase and not in 4 phase or 5 phase?
as per IE stranded what is max voltage between neutral to earth. 100 kva transformer neutral solid earth. min and max values i need to ans for RTI question
