Mr. Amir Sharif
Mr. Ravi Siemens say that CT is step up transformer thats 100% rigth. Brief : Consider Primary winding as busbars having hundred / thousands of current and secondary as CT winding which have low current at its output and high voltage at its terminals. Hence its called as step up transformer. If CT terminals gets open then self induced emf will cut to its own winding i.e. CT and it will be uncontrollable and hence due to high voltage its insulation gets damage and CT will get burn.
Thanks to Siemens Mr. Amir Sharif is not there in SIEMENS.
Mr. Ravi keep going on dont upset due to such ans.

across ct secondary ,because of no oppossing emf present
primary.result ct will blast

There are two types of Cts
1.ACCT
2.DCCT
In ACCT if secondary is open during load it will damage the
CT due to high current ratio.
2,In DCCT the secondary is Equipmentload,ie,Bus bar

Answer / vinothbhabu.k
ct is a controling device for both the primary and
secondary,if secondary opened means the current ratio will
be losed and also equipment connected in the secondary side
will be sever damaged.

Please help me regarding my one concern. - During earth pit testing we noticed that the Clean earth pit and dirty earth pit showing continuity (Resistance value - 5ohm) . I want to know that if both earth pit have separate location and there is not internal looping between PIT then why such continuity is showing on it . Because of this issue the field side all earthing point showing short. In PLC panel we are providing two types of earthing cable which is coming from separate earth pit (Clean and Dirty earth pit) because of earth PIT showing short our PLC is not complying spec . please help regarding this issues.
