Critical parameters of engine are:
1. Max. torque or breakdown torque
2. max. speed and minimum speed.
3. speed reduction with % of full load.
4.max. working temperature.
5.speed governor charaterestics.
and that of alternator is:
1. starting ampacity
2. max. working insulation/ conductor temperature.
3. frequency variation on % of full loads.
4. voltage drop on % full load.
5. over load capacity

When PRV operated at power transformer ,can anybody tell me particular pressure for 50mva transformer plzzz.
What do you mean by deregulated power system structure? Which structure (regulated/deregulated) is used by modern power system?
Purpose of lighting transformer.
For example, if I use Star delta transformer for distribution, Can I Connect 230 V lighting load bewteen secondary phase & primary neutarl. What will be the effect, if I connect in this manner?
How can you calculate in detail the VA burden of current transformer used for Restricted earth fault protection? Please understand that the CT required here is Class PX or X. Also please show the calculations for knee point vtg, stabilizing resistor, magnetising current.
Is there any calculation to find unknwon(unferroled) phases R Y B in alternator,3 phase motor anybody shoot my problem. how can we notice this is the respective phase?
When we use air circuit breaker, it has O/L protection ,time delay SC protection, Instataneous SC protection & ground fault protection. They all have some setting range. But what is the suitable/allowable setting for the above protection which will be safe for the equipment? For example-O/L protection setting have a range of (0.4,0.45,0.5,0.55,0.6,0.65,0.7,0.8,0.9,1.0)xIn Time delay SC protection have a range of (1.25,1.5,2,3,4,6,8,10,12)xIn Time delay setting is 0.02,0.1,0.2,0.3,0.4 Instataneous setting is fixed to 20xIn Gound fault setting is given 100A,300A,600A,900A,1200A This setting are for 2500A ACB. So what will be the basic allowable setting for the above protection? is there any formulae to calculate this<
