How equivalent impedance is calculated in thevenin theorem?
Answer / Prashant Chauhan
The equivalent impedance (Zth) in Thevenin's theorem can be calculated by finding the total impedance across the open-circuit terminals. To do this, first short-circuit the voltage source Vth and find the resulting current Isc through it. Then, find the impedance Zsc between the terminals with respect to the short-circuited source (Zsc = Vth / Isc). Finally, subtract the short-circuit impedance from the total series impedance (Ztot) of all other circuit elements connected to the open terminals: Zth = Ztot - Zsc.
