Why is the grid in a cro provided with a hole in it?
Answer / Dushyant Prakash
The grid in a Cathode Ray Oscilloscope (CRO) is provided with a hole, called the screen-grid, to allow the electron beam to pass through and strike the phosphorescent screen. The screen-grid acts as an electrostatic shield that can control the deflection of the electron beam based on the applied voltage. By having a hole in it, the grid allows the electron beam to be focused precisely onto the screen for accurate visualization of the input signal.
