how to determine ct ratio in ht vcb?
Answer / Ranjna
The CT (Current Transformer) Ratio is determined by the relation between the primary and secondary currents. For a CT with a rated primary current of Ip and a rated secondary current of Is, the CT Ratio (CTR) is defined as: CTR = Ip / Is.nIn High Tension (HT) VCB (Voltage Circuit Breaker), CTs are used to isolate and measure low currents in high voltage systems. The CTR helps in scaling down high-current measurements to a level suitable for instrumentation.
