can we connect PARALLEL 2 D.G set with different rating??
How ? What is the requirement for this connections?
Answer / nikhil choudhary
The easiest way to set up a parallel system is to use generators that are exactly alike, or at least have the same output rating. Another flexible approach to backing up your power requirements is to have two or more generators of variable output. In either scenario, these can be connected in parallel with paralleling switchgear to achieve maximum output during peak requirement or the desired minimal output during other times. For parallel operation you have to synchronize all generator units (Voltage, frequency, phase angle).
