Answer / Mrityunjay Kumar Mishra
Columns in a framed structure are subjected to different loading conditions based on their location. A column located at the edge (perimeter) of a structure experiences loading in one direction (uniaxial loading), as it is only loaded along its axis. In contrast, an interior column experiences loading in two directions (biaxial loading), as it is subjected to loads from both sides.
