MCCB means moulded case circuit breaker and used to passing
through nominal or huge amount of current and frequently
installed in main side of power db.
MPCB means motor protection circuit breaker which only used
to control any one or more particuler motor with adjustable
rating of current.

MCB means Miniature Circuit Breaker, MPCB means Motor
Protected Circuit Breaker, Generally MCB comes under 2A to
100 A current only, MPCB used for Motor Protection it
contains OLR inbuilt

Answer / thangaraj.r
MCB=MINIATURE CIRCUIT BREAKER
MPCP=MOTOR PROTECTION CIRCUIT BREAKER
MCB is a constant current rating (ie)for example if MCB
rating is 20A it can trip only above the 20A,BUT in the MPCB
is the adjustable one (ie)if the MPCB rating is20A we have
to adjust theMPCB knob like19A,18A,15A.....from that we are
setting the values the MPCB is trip.
