Stary light is the secondary light emitted by the non optical components , when ever the light is falling on the non optical objects ( used for mounting of optical components ) This is a measure to check the condition of non optical components ,in optical measurements like spectrophotometers most pharmacopoeia are given to test with 1.2 % KCl solution, the limit assigned as NMT 2.0
