Bulk property detectors as the name suggest depends on bulk
material i.e. solvent e.g. RI detector. Whereas solute
property detectors depend on solute such as UV-Vis detector.

uv detector is solute property detector but ri is a bulk
property detector b/c it measeres both solute&solvent
property, uv is used when compounds having
chromophores so this is a compounds chemical property

Bulk property is the detector which depend on mobile phase(electrochemical detector and ri detector) whereas specific property detector depend on analyte (uv-vis detector)., But uv detector acts as both b/z it depend on both solvent and solute
