Instantaneous Over Current Means when The Over Current Detected it will be tripped i.e.,at t=0sec but not in IDMT

IDMT means Inverse Difinte Min. Time,

Here, higher the current value lower the tripping time
Lower the current value higher the tripping time

why we are not earthing ht cable at both the ends(sending & receiving end)?
