complete and we close the

if synchronization b/w generator and busbar would not be
completed and if you close the out going CB then generator
have gone to over current tripped or reverse power tripped

the generator winding wire will become hot and get broken which lead to linkage and it will get damaged,NB it is very expensive to repair winding wire, never try to close the circuit breaker if they are not in the same phases, frequency,

IF the synchronization does not complete and if you close a cct breaker a severe arcing may occur and generator will trip instantaneously. Because the Generator sides voltages and bus side voltages do not match. To match the volatges following has to satisfied.
1. voltage magnitude
2. phase angle difference - 0
3. phase sequence - same
So at this condition there might be present voltage or phase angles or phase position mismatches. Say for example there exists a voltage magntude mismatch of 1 kV and when you close the cct breaker contact points have that voltage across them and this will cause severe current through contact points of breaker

First of all check sync relay will not permit to sync due to control ckt configuration, perhaps if it did then gen bkr would tripped in reverse power (32P relay) acted.

how we can do the insulation on secondary of ct explain and so that tan delta will within limit
This is about the recent problem that we have faced in our project site. We have 6/7.5 MVA. 66/11kV three phase star - star power transformer. The neutral was solidly connected to the earthing mat. But because of high resistance of earthing mat (130 ohm on LV and 180 ohm on HV), one day LV side neutral earthing conductor melted and we had a huge damage. Can any one plz tell me what might happen when we connect power transformer neutral to the earthing mat which has high resistance (>100 ohm ) ?????
