Flux produced in field of DC series motor is less and armature current is slightd reduced at starting time because very low value of resistance is used in dc series stator and by study these relation and effects, we sure that there is no back emf produced in dc series motor that is why ....

Answer / deepak24
dear friend note that in dc series motor, speed is proportional to back emf and inversely proportionally to the field flux now,
Eb=V-IaRa, since Ra is very small so Eb is high.
and since field coil have less no. of turns so fild flux is less
hence by considering above two points speed of series motor is high.

I've descovered that when the earth wire in a domestic electrical installation is not connected back to the board (ground) a voltage of between 9-24v is is found to be present in the earth wire. When connected at the board there is no voltage - is this normal and why does it happen?

i work as a technician at a private company.. i used to take amp reading for certain appliances such as air con.. the problem is when i clamp the neutral, wire there is a current reading.. from my understanding for single phase system neutral should not have current unless if the circuit is not complete.. yet the air con still work
