Ohms law is applicable where there is no induction/
inductance. It is applicable where only resistance is
present. This can happen in D.C. Circuit and ohm's law is
100% applicable in D.C. circuit. In A.C. circuit, impedence
which consist of resistance and inductance is applicable as
load. i.e r+jwL. The inducatance depends on frequency of
system and L (henery).

D.C Circuit : C = V/R, where C is current, V is voltage, R
is resistance

A.C. circuit C = V/Z where Z = R+JWL. Z is impedence, L is
inductance.

Transformer works on the principle of induction and has no
of coils both in the primary and secondary windings.Hence
very high inductance and very low resistance. Here
Impidence (Z) is very close to wL both in primary and
secondary windings as resistance is very low in both the
windings. Hence the transformer circuit does not obey ohm's
law.

Ohm's law only applicable to purely resistive circuit in which v --> I relationship is linear.
now in the case of the transformer , there is reactance is exist and there is induction also.It's not purely resistive circuit and v --> I relationship is non-linear.so ohm's law is not applicable to transformer

Actually Ohms law is applicable only in those circuits where
Power parameter varies.Since under ideal conditions,in case of
transformer,Power remains the same,thus Transformer does not obey Ohms law

Is there any difference in AC current/ DC current carrying capacity of a conductor .What can be maximum current handling capacity of a 2.5mm stranded cu cable when connected to AC and DC supply.
