With out positioner we can operate small size of valves,
but for large sizes of valves , we required Positioner.
Due to force balance principle, the positioner give us a
better accuracy than with out positioner.

Without position-er all the control valve operate but it operating criteria is not satisfy our requirement. Error will be produced very large, and response will be very slow . To avoid on those error we have to use position-er.

Without positioner control valve will become on off valve because position feedback dose not transist.

If control valves are able to operate within 3 - 15 psi, that case can possible though I/p converter .
