03. a. The water cement ratio for achieving maximum strength of concrete is…… 1 b. Water/ ce..

Answer / Dhirendra Kuamr

a. The water-cement ratio for achieving maximum strength of concrete is approximately 0.45 to 0.55 by weight or volume.
b. Water/ cement is inversely proportional to workability, meaning that as the amount of water (or water/cement ratio) decreases, the concrete becomes more rigid and less workable. Conversely, as the amount of water increases, the concrete becomes more fluid and easier to work with but less strong.
c. Increasing the slump does not necessarily decrease the strength of concrete. However, it may lead to a reduction in the compactness and strength if the concrete is overworked or placed too quickly.
