substance?

FOR THE SOLUBILITY TESTING SONICATION IS NOT REQUIRRED B,COZ WE ARE DETERMINING SOLUBILITY OF COMPOUND IN SUITABLE SOLVENT. MEANS IN WHICH SOLVENT IT IS FREELY SOLUBLE AND IN WHICH SOLVENT LESS SOLUBLE..

There is no guideline which specifies the sonication
required or not for solubility. So some people prefer to
sonicate and other not. You can't say which one is wright
because you have no evidenced guideline.

sonication is not exactly required for a solubility test of drug substance it is preferable sometimes to check whether it is soluble when it is sonicated.

no need to use of sonicate.because substances will freely
soluble in diluent.by hand shake or spinic we can do that
test.

Answer / msreddyvelagala
sonication is not mentioned in usp&EP.solubility is checked by handshaking for 1 minute &put it at temperature 20 or 25c for some time.
