it is calculated as dipole movement mu
if mu is not equal to zero there is no chrge transfer [non
polar]
if mu is equal to zero there is charge transfer[polar]

Polarity is nothing but sharing of electrons between the two atoms unequally ,only one atom pull the pair of electrons towards the more electro positive atom EX:H2O Molecule
