why resistive load has unity power factor, inductive load lagging and capacitive load leading power ..

Answer / vishal ingle

therorotical concepts are used for v & i relations.
i think following relations exist between v & i for R L C
FOR R --- v = i*R
for L --- v = L(di/dt)
For C --- v = (1/C)(integral of i*dt)
as per above relationship, it wiil be clear

why resistive load has unity power factor, inductive load lagging and capacitive load leading power ..

Answer / deeksha jain

as per the initial condition, in inductor initially act as
open circuit that is as it is connected to source first voltage comes than current (at steady state) but in case of capicitor it act as a short circuit (initially)so current comes first then voltage .But in case of resistor this condition does not comes.
