i think the question is ceiling fan....the answer is
unlike ac motor or table fan,in ceiling fan the stator is the rotating part.the feild will be produced in rotor part.the rotor is kept fixed tightly hence the feild in rotor makes stator to rotate.

i faced the question of difference between ceilig and table fan in ABB interview.
