In India, Electrical power is generated at 50Hz, unlike UK
US and other western countries.
A 60Hz motor should not be used as it may get damaged.
However you can use it with the help of a VFD (variable
frequency drive)

in addition to #1 answer, if you're using 60Hz motor on 50Hz, the speed will be rated based on 50Hz and you may loose the designed torque hence require more current to run

i think the resistance and reactance of that machine will vary also thickness of lamination sheets of that machine are designed for that frequency only(60).

if 40 watt bulb has higher resistance then a 100watt bulb then according to joul farmula p=I^2R the 40 watt bulb more power consume then 100 watt bulb.
