AC- alternative current, current flows in both the direction
and it is used in home, industry power supplies.
DC-direct current, current flows in only one direction and
it is used in small batteries and toys.

1>AC current have period.
DC current have no period.
2>AC current have certain frequency.
DC current have 0 frequency.
3>Generation of AC current is easy.
Generation of DC current is not easy.

Answer / electrokarz
* AC can be stepped-up or stepped down efficiently using
transformers where as DC cannot be stepped up or down
efficiently ( the losses in DC-DC buck/boost choppers are
quite high)
* Skin effect is observed in AC transmission systems but not
in DC.
* The need of brushes and commutators makes DC generators
expensive and needs regular maintenance where as AC machines
(generators and motors) are cheap and needs less or no
maintenance.
* Synchronization with system frequency is needed in AC systems.

AC(ALTERNATIVE CURRENT)
-IN AC MAGNITUDE IS VARYING
-AC HAVING FINUTE TIME PERIOD
-AC TERMINALS REPRSENTED BY PHASE AND NEWTRAL
-IN AC SINGLE PHASE AND THREE PHASE AVALIBLE
-IT HAS SOME FREQENCY
DC(DIRECT CURRENT)
-IN DC MAGNITUDE IS CONSTANT
-HERE TIME PERIOD IS INFINITY
-HERE FREQENCY IS ZERO
-TERMINALS ARE REPRSENTED BY +,-
