Unity pf means pf is one. As the current is in phase with
the voltage in resistive load ,the pf is one as the angle
between them is zero.

Unity power factor means that Pf=1 or cos(phi)=1 so (phi)=0 where (phi) is the angle between the apparent power & active power in the power triangle so it means that the apparent power equals the active power and the reactive power in this case equals zero. No reactive power transmitted between the source and load which it exists only in the case of resistive loads.
