Can u explain : what is supply for train (whether a,c or d.c
).I know that supply is 25000v a.c .But there is rumour that
supply is D.C.
And also explain how lights and fans inside the trains are
working ,and what type of motors are used in trains whether
D.C motors or induction motors .If d.c motor, how it gets
supply. If traction motors are used then what are traction
motors and its functions and how it differs from other
motors and also explain about locomotive .
y d.c series motor in train.train wheels r driven by D.C
shunt motor ,at what voltage, and at what speed.
please reply..............

Trains typically run on an alternating current (AC) supply of 25,000 volts. However, there are some older trains that use direct current (DC).nInside the train, DC power is often used for lighting and fans due to its efficiency in converting and controlling voltage levels. The motors used for such applications are typically DC shunt or series motors.nTraction motors, on the other hand, are AC motors used to propel the train. These can be either induction motors or synchronous motors. Traction motors convert electrical energy into mechanical energy to move the train.nA locomotive is a self-propelled rail vehicle designed for transporting cargo and passengers on rails. The type of motor used in a locomotive depends on the specific design and manufacturer, but it may be either AC or DC.nD.C series motors are commonly used to power train wheels because they can easily handle high starting torques required for moving a heavy train. They typically operate at around 600 volts and have a speed range of approximately 15-30 miles per hour.
