why generation of syncronized generator increases when
frequency of grid is less then 50Hz & generation decreases
when grid frequency goes up from 50 Hz, as comparision with
set value entered in govering panel?
Answer / vasanth
The Line Frequency is influenced by the Grid as that is
Infinite source. Since it is in Synchronized Pattern the
generator is influenced by the GRID. Due to the effect of
speed control Governor in the generator which fails to hold
the speed on its own due to other source which is
influencing, raises the fuel flow ,Flex raises and generator
take the additional load from the Grid. This is How the Load
is distributed across the sources .
