Commissioning a distribution transformer knowing all its
rating, Transformation ratio, Vector group, Phase sequence
is a skilled Job. You will need the information of complete
system like where the distribution transformer you are
talking about comes.

Information needed will be,

1. Single Line Diagram of the complete circuit (So as to
clearly understand the vector group/ rating of the
transformer to be installed, if there are many distribution
transformers to be installed in a locality).
2. Transformer foundation drawings and the drawings of
Bolts where the transformer will be bolted.
3. Whether to be installed on ground/ On pole
4. Whether oilfilled/ Drytype.
5. If oil filled provision of soakpit and clearances from
firewall.
6. If conservator tank and radiators are there the clearances
7. Provision for grounding.
8. All drawings of transformers from all angles.

Dear Sir/Madam, I have one questions we have three steam turbines and one Gas turbine and our industry linked with the public network, we have protection system one of the protection is reverse power we can export just four MW only i would like to ask about how to calculate the reverse power. i have ht transformer of 142 kva with air cooled facility,having secondary voltage 7850volt, and secondary connected full way bridge rectifier .i faced the problem repeatedly that transformer one coil and rectifier diode of two phase was burnt two times. i checked all the secondary ckt. no any short ckt found,then what will be the cause side
