I've one slab of 24m x 43m. How to calculate required steel
For this slab.
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
LBD= 24 X 43 X 0.125 (SAY, REQUIRED TO ACHIEVE AS PER
DESIGN)= 129 CUM
VOLUME OF STEEL 1% (SAY, REQUIRED TO ACHIEVE AS PER DESIGN
& BBS)= 1.29 CUM= 1.29X 7850 kG= 10126 kG, Apx= 10 Ton.

hi.
1) length of slab/spacing=no of bar lager side
2) width of slab/spacing=no of bars in shorter side
3) length of one bar = length of slab-(2*cover thickens)
4) length of one bar longer side*total no of bars in longer side(+)length of one bar shorter side*total no of bars=total length of bars requirement in slab
..weight of one meter bar =d^2/162
total weight of bars=total length of bar*weight of bar
