Earth pit resistance must be less than 1 ohm then only we
have to get good earthing

for Individual pit; no specific fig ( in general max of 5 ohm)by standards but grid should be less than 1 ohm.

It should be less than 1ohm in case of switch yards and It
should be less than 2ohms for industrial applications and
for other demostic applications it should be less than 5ohms
