what happens when the transformer is connected to DC supply?

when dc supply is given to the transformer, since dc can't
produce fluctuating flux ,it will not induce e.m.f in the
primary winding of the transformer.when this counter emf is
not induced in the primary ,the almost full applied
voltage(except little voltage drop in the primary winding
resistance and leakage reactance) is forced in the primary
winding and it may burn.
as far as secondary is concerned ,no emf is induced in it
because emf doesn't vary in case of dc current.

tha transformer work on mutual induction and key fector is frequency and in dc supply no frequency so primary winding work as heater and after sometime its burn

when we r transformer connected to the DC supply it 's
winding should be burnt. because, in DC supply there is no
back EMF. when there is no back EMF then the primary winding
get higher current then the winding will be burst. so any
were any time we don't connect the DC supply to the
transformer.
