in d case of generator, if we remove dc exciter (internal
exciter), the out put vl fail 2 produce electricity.
Consequently AVR will trip off the generator.

if the generator running in parallel opearation,generator
will draw power from busbars and act like motor to prevent
this we use reverse power relay

if we remove dc exciter from running machine then due to
absence of rotational energy, machine will stop but will
take some time for remaining kinetic energy of rotor.

In case of DC shunt motor the speed goes on increasing .In
case of grid connected gen, the machine will run as
induction motor when prime mover is shut down and as
induction gen if the prime mover is running.IN case of
series motor ,it will come to rest.
