Due to 3rd harmonics,frequency of the system is three times of the supply frequency.For example,if supply frequency is 50hz, it raised to 150hz due to 3rd harmonics.
Harmonics is produced due to unbalanced load, any types faults in the system like earth fault,Line-Line faults.
