what is the working principal of diode..

Answer / prasanna

Diode is a uni-directional , allows current flow in only
one direction. thats it is mostly used rectification purpose

Is This Answer Correct ?    138 Yes 16 No

what is the working principal of diode..

Answer / sukhraj brar

diode is a unidirectional component,it allows passing a
signal in one direction and blocks it in another
direction.when it is forward biased it allows the signal to
pass through it and it blocks that signal if it is reversed
biased.it is used as a switch

Is This Answer Correct ?    99 Yes 15 No

what is the working principal of diode..

Answer / m.balaji,pudkkottai

diode is a component that restructs the direction of
movement of charge carriers. essentially it allows an
electeic-current to flow in one direction but blocks in
opposite direction.

Is This Answer Correct ?    76 Yes 19 No

what is the working principal of diode..

Answer / venkatesh

dode is an electronic device which is the combination of p
and ntype semiconductors.due to this a potential barrier is
formed and this will not allow current when the diode is
reverse biased due to the extension of potential
barrier.diode allows current in farward biased mod due to
the minimised potential barrier.so it isused to convert a.c
supply to d.c supply.

diffusion

Is This Answer Correct ?    65 Yes 31 No

what is the working principal of diode..

Answer / mathan

diode is an electronic component which shows zero resistance
in forward direction and infinite resistance in reverse
direction.

Is This Answer Correct ?    54 Yes 31 No

what is the working principal of diode..

Answer / sk. jashim

Diode is a electronic component which allow the electricity
to flow in one direction. It allow current in one direction
and to block current in the opposite direction.

Is This Answer Correct ?    35 Yes 13 No

what is the working principal of diode..

Answer / sanju

P type- holes are the majority charge carriers.
N type-electrons are the majority charge carriers.
When diode is forward biased,p type is connected to +ve
terminal of the battery and n type is connected to -ve
terminal of the battery. The holes in p type are attracted
to n type.Similarly the electrons in n type are attracted
to p type.It is called as the electronhole pair
combination. This region is called as depletion region. The
width of the depletion region is thin. The current flows in
forward direction.
When diode is reverse biased,p type is connected to -ve
terminal of the battery and n type is connected to +ve
terminal of the battery. In p type the holes are attracted
to -ve terminal of the battery and in n type the electrons
are attracted to +ve terminal of the battery. The width of
the depletion region is thick.Because of the minority
charge csrriers current flows in the reverse bias.

Is This Answer Correct ?    22 Yes 3 No

what is the working principal of diode..

Answer / nehru

diode is working on principal of flow of charge carriers
from one side to another side due to difference in charege
concentration.it's unidirectional device.

Is This Answer Correct ?    26 Yes 10 No

what is the working principal of diode..

Answer / sssssssss

recombination of electron and hole
