why we want to go for uneconomical beam section by providing this much of big span and uneconomical quantity of concrete required for a small 15000L water tank.
by this we can save much higher floor area.
we need to use only 6.25m2
simply we can provide an economical dimension
2.5x2.5x2.5m
length of tank=2.5m
breadth=2.5m
height of tank=2.4+(0.1m as dry board)

Your question is 15000Li.water tank
Ok, convert that into Metre cube that is divide by 1000.
then you will get 15metre cubic area.
Then
The length of the water tank is 5m
The breadth of the water tank is 5m
The height of the water tank is 5m

15000 ltr.= 15 m3 (1 m3 =1000 ltr.)
For tank height = 1m +0.1m (free board)=1.1m
Area needed = 15m3/ 1m= 15m2
For tank height = 2m +0.1m (free board)=2.1m
Area needed = 15m3/ 2m= 7.5m2
similarly we can find the area for any depth.
note:Free board is the space to be left above water
(between water surface and tank cover), it is usually taken
as 10cm (0.1m).
