whey we conect ammeter in series and voltmeter in parallel
in circuit
Answer / nirmalya basu
Generally ammeter has internal resistance lower than the
load resistance so if we connect the ammeter in series with
load so maximum current flows through the ammeter so we can
get current value.
on the other hand voltmeter's internal resistance is very
much higher than load resistance, so if we connect
voltmeter in parallel with load then a minimum but constant
current can flow through the voltmeter by calculating the
voltage we can calculate the actual drop.
