we know the form factor is rms value / avg value is = 1.11
so due to this reason it always in 11 multiple

Answer / sandeep ojha
because form factor is 1.11and emf equation is 4.44 kφtf and frequency is 50Hz so value is comes out in multiple of 1.11 & 50

Answer / pallab jyoti phukon
form factor is 1.11.so generated voltage is multiple of
11.another reason is that suspension type insulator are
designed for 11kv,so depending upon the voltage transmitted
the number of discs ara cascaded in series.

Answer / sumit gupta
the rms value or avg. value is 1.11 of form factor so it is
given as in 11kv multiple

Generally, the voltage drop is estimated as 10% from the transmission end to distribution end. So in order to achieve the required output , we send 10% more i.e., 1.1 times of required output.

for every 100V ,we gotta add 10V in order to compensate the
transmission loss.hence its in this series. its actual
story goes like this.... thomas alva edisn introduced the
first dc distribution systm..i.e, manhatten dc system.he
wanted to make one incandescent lamp glow.for that he tried
with 100V n found the lamp to glow brightly.but when this
lamp was fixed in a street corner, it did not glow with the
xpected brightness.so he made it as 110V and tried the same
n he found the lamp to glow with that original
brightness.from that time, it became a std to add 10V for
the trans loss compensation.
