what does ip65 signify??what is its NEMA equivalent???
Answer / nachiket dani
IP65 signifies total protection against penetration of dust
(first digit-6) and protection against water jets from any
direction(digit-5).It does not have a direct NEMA
equivalent but NEMA 5 devices are dust proof and NEMA 4/4X
can withstand water jets.So a device having NEMA 4/5 may be
said to be equivalent-although it is wrong.
