equimpent. It's effect on equipment's efficiency and life?

Basically if we give 2phase supply then we get phase to
phase voltage of 415 v or so......not like phase n neutral
0-230 vac. motor will burn if we give 2 ph. supply instead
of 1 phase.

Two phase is nothing but two single phase. The single phase
supply have 230V AC. If you are provide two single phase in
a two terminal of single phase machine means, the potential
difference(Voltage) will occur. Current will pass through
it.It will act as a series circuit.
In series circuit, the total current(I) is equal to sum of
two individual currents(I1+I2). So the current value will
increase (almost double of the single phase current).
The increase of current will increase the temporature. This
will damage the minute or weak part of the equipments. So
life time, strength and quality of equipment will damaged.

if the voltage difference between two phase(=line voltage)
is high(like 400v or more) the system may damage..

Actually there is no 2 phase supply.Even if u take any 2
wires i.e.R & Y for giving 2 phase supply it will act as
single phase supply.1 phase will act as phase n other as
neutral.

I have been using an 600VA with 0.6 p.f UPS with my desktop which has 450W power supply unit. Can anyone explain how can this happen . Because the output of the UPS is 360W (600*0.6) (<450W)
which is dangerous AC or DC? If so why?
