Pure inductive ckt takes power from AC when
1. Applied voltage and Current increases
2. applied voltage and current decreses
3. voltage decreases and current decreases

My understanding is applied voltage have nothing to do with
this. But when the curent increases the energy is drawn
from supply and will be stored in the inductor and when
current decreases the stored enrgy is used to supply the
power. But unfortunatley the answer given in the test is
second choice.. total confusion

As per my opinion first option is correct because inductor
takes power from AC ckt up to max voltage.during this it
takes up max current.when the voltage decreases it returns
the power in toto.In a full cycle the power consumtion is
zero.
