Most importantly the insulation and HV holding test is done on
all the installations.
on the tx former;winding insulation test,
ratio test, vector group test,impedence test, oil dielectric and
other test,
bucholtz relay test, all protective equipments operation test,the
switchgears insulation and conductivity tests along with pressure
tests on cables also . all tests have to meet the local
requirements or as relevant BS.

If the capacitor bank is installed in switchyard say 132/22kv then on LT side say 22kv/0.433kv is it necessary to install capacitor bank for maintaining power factor. if pf is maintained on HT side then will that be maintained on LT side as well.if not then how&why??????/ please explain...........
