what is power factor?..

Answer / kuldeep

Power Factor (P.F.) is the ratio of Working Power to
Apparent Power.

P.F. = KW/KVA

Is This Answer Correct ?    30 Yes 0 No

what is power factor?..

Answer / rajesh

power factor is the cosine of the angle between voltage and
current. if voltage and current are in phase then power
factor is unity. however, in practice this not possible
since loads are not purely reistive.

cos phi = active power/apparent power

what is power factor?..

Answer / saravanan.p

A graph drawn between voltage(V) and Current(I), a curve
will form due to loss between voltage and current. This is
called power factor.

This is also defind as the ratio between Apparent power to
Actual power.

Power Factor = KW / KVA.

Is This Answer Correct ?    9 Yes 2 No

what is power factor?..

Answer / ankit4mail

apparent power(watts).

Is This Answer Correct ?    4 Yes 1 No

what is power factor?..

Answer / r ksharma

It is defined as the ratio resistance to impedance. It is
either leading or lagging.

Is This Answer Correct ?    2 Yes 1 No

what is power factor?..

Answer / ripon

power factor denotes that how much power really need.
suppose if power factor is 0.8 or 80% thats mean in 100
percent providing power u will get 80%.This 80% is real power.

Is This Answer Correct ?    4 Yes 4 No

what is power factor?..

Answer / suvajit

It is the ratio of the resistance(R) of the circuit to the
impedance(Z) of the same circuit.

Power factor=R/Z.
