10*746=7460w
so 7460 w is the power drawn by 3-ph motor. and three phase
voltage is 415 voltage.

so I = P/root3*v*pf*eff
i=Wattage/1.732*415*0.8*0.85
=7460/1.732*415*0.8*0.85
=7460/489
=15.25A

how much current a 3 ph 10 hp motor takes is depending
on the load it is carrying. Genarally the max
safe current for a motor rated as 10 hp at
440 volts is about 14 amps.If it is consuming less
than 14 amps, that means it is under loaded but if it is
carrying more than 14 amps than IT MEANS IT IS OVERLOADED
which is harmful for the motor.

load current is taken only how the load is connected..
We use star/delta starter mean running current is low than DOL starter...
