what is difference between power transformer and distribution
transformers
Answer / jagjeet singh solanki
power transformer is used at generating station and its rating is above 200kva but distribution transformer is used in distribution system to step down the transmisson voltage to distribution voltage and its rating is about 200kva it is kept in operation all the 24 hours a day whether they are carring any load or not.
