RPM of Prime mover is related with Electrical frequency.

Some countries use 50 HZ with 1500 Rpm for 4 pole
Some countries use 60 Hz with 1800 Rpm for 4 pole

for 55 Hz 4 pole RPM of Prime mover will be 1650



Some countries use 50 HZ with 1000 Rpm for 6 pole
Some countries use 60 Hz with 1200 Rpm for 6 pole

for 55 Hz 6 pole RPM of Prime mover will be 1100


Itz just matter of Choice.

The speed of conected in line will vary that will result
all system will need modifying mechnically and electrically.
There is no posibility to change all and everywhere.
