There is no expansion.. it just signifies the operation the
gate performs..

I agree with answer no 4. but thisi know the difference b/w
this two
1. AND gate - it performed the multiplication b/w two inputs
its output is high only when buth input input is high
and its output is low when one of the input is low or high
2. OR gate - it performed addition b/w two inputs
its output is high when one of the input is high
its output is low when both the input is low.
i thing this the best example to explain to the interviers
