THE HV BUSHING i.e 110KV SHOULD HAVE THE CAPACITY TO WITH
STAND THE RATED KV i.e 110KV,AND IF IT IS HAVING THE WITH
STAND CAPACITY MORE THEN THE RATED KV THEN IT CAN BE
CONNECTED TO HV OF THE POWER T/F.IN SAME WAY THE LV BUSHING
SHOULD HAVE THE CAPACITY TO WITH STAND THE LV RATED VOLTAGE
i.e 11KV,THEN ONLY IT CAN BE CONNECTED TO THE LV OF THE
POWER T/F i.e OF 16MVA.

here in 111/11 kv 16 MVA)transformer the hv side is 110kv
side i.e primary one whereas secondary side is 11kv is lv
side.

Bushing connections at HV side is 3 and LV side is 4 with
highly insulated.Normally at substations 110/33 transformer
will be used and then same 33kv will be step down to 11kv
to avoid losses.

Answer / satheesh k
HV side bushing connection is only 3 terminals R,Y, B. In
LV side 4 terminals are there R, Y, B, N. Neutral is
grounded in station transformers. But in distribution
transformers the neutral is not grounded in secondary and
is extended to commercial use.

bit confused - am i correct in thinking that to determine line to line voltage in a star config 110v 3 phase 4 wire distribution system i would use a voltmeter? I have a circuit configured as an unbalanced load, consisting of three incandescent lamps (1x40w, 1x60w, 1x100w - all 110v rated)connected in a star configuration to a 110v 3 phase 4 wire distribution system. I want to find out what types of meters i would use to obtain: a) each line to line voltage b) the line to neutral voltage across each load c) current flowing in each line and load d) current flowing in the neutral conductor e) power supplied to the loads im assuming i would be using ammeters in series along each line and voltmeters in parallel across each line to neutral? Also how could i predict these meter readings before taking them and with which formulae? Any help would be greatly appreciated A.
